Hugh Grant is adding fatherhood to his roles.

At 51, the “Music and Lyrics” actor has become a father after the birth of his first child, a daughter.

The happy news was confirmed by his rep, Carrie Gordon, who also explained that the baby is a result of an affair between Grant and an unidentified woman.

Although the pregnancy was not planned, Grant and the mother have discussed everything and are on very friendly terms.

Grant was famously known dating actress Elizabeth Hurley for 13 years, then Jemima Khan for three, but has never married.

Congrats for the newborn, Mr. Grant!
