It’s a short and shocking ending for Kim Kardashian’s fairy-tale romance.
The reality star has filed for divorce Monday just a little over two months, or 72 days to be precise, after tying the knot with basketballer Kris Humphries.
The filing comes after weeks of speculation of trouble in their brief marriage. 31-year-old Kardashian cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason of the split.
A source close to Kardashian said that she “wanted a fairy tale” but that the couple found “the pressure of the TV show just isn’t what they could have handled.”
The couple announced their engagement back in May after a whirlwind six months of dating. They swapping vows on August 20 in a lavish ceremony that was taped for her reality show.
Lots of famous faces and names attending, including all members of Kim’s reality family, Brody Jenner and Avril Lavigne, Lindsay Lohan, Eva Longoria, Ryan Seacrest and sooo many others.
Rumors of a rift between the newlyweds have been ramping up in recent weeks, after both Kim and 26-year-old Kris were spotted making increasingly solo appearances.
