Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton had reached the finish line.

After four years, the -on and off- relationship between the “X-Factor” judge and her race-car driver is now over.

The sad news was confirmed by a source close to the couple who said that they’d been long distance for a long time and it’s just been hard.

The source then continued saying that both Scherzinger and Hamilton tried to make it work, but their careers kept them apart. For now it’s over, is what’s best. They’re definitely going to stay friends.

The 33-year-old former “Pussycat Dolls” member and 26-year-old Hamilton first met at the European Music Awards in Munich, Germany in November 2007.

And even though it was just last July when the couple were the subject of widespread engagement rumors, sadly it won’t come true at all..
