Chord Overstreet is Back on “Glee!”
“Glee” will have its own trouty mouth again.
Chord Overstreet, who famously turned down a recurring role for season three, is coming back to the popular series.
According to a source, Overstreet a.k.a Sam Evans, is finalizing a deal to return to “Glee” as a recurring character.
The actor won’t be a series regular, and will come back as early as episode eight, as Sam is going to be a great help to New Direction for Sectionals.
No word yet on exactly how his return to Lima will be written in, but all we know about Sam this season is that he did date Mercedes during the summer until his family moved out of state.
Back in July, executive producer Brad Falchuk claimed at Comic-Con that Overstreet turned down an invitation to return for season three.
At the time, Falchuk said that the show’s producers did invite Overstreet back for a portion of the season, but he declined the offer.
Falchuk also added that 22-year-old Overstreet decided he would have opportunities elsewhere that he would like to pursue, and since the producers can’t force him to work, they wished him well.
