There’s a breakup rumor shaking Hollywood.

After a year together, actress Cameron Diaz and baseball star Alex Rodriguez have reportedly ended their romance.

According to Us Weekly, a source close to Rodriguez said, ”They broke up recently,” and claiming it was their careers that ultimately drove them apart.

“She’s very busy with her career,” the source said of the “Bad Teacher” actress. “And he’s had injuries and wants to focus on his game. They’re dedicated professionals.”

But despite the separation, the pair reportedly remains on good terms. “They’re still very friendly and like each other,” the source added. “[They have] an enormous amount of respect for each other.”

39-year-old Diaz and the 36-year-old New York Yankee had been dating since July 2010 and vacationed together in Miami and Mexico.
