Fantasia Barrino will soon singing lullaby tunes again!

The former “American Idol” winner has announced that she’s expecting her second child, while performing on a charity concert over the weekend.

To the crowd who gathered at the opening of the Riverview Apartments complex in Jacksonville, Florida, Barrino said, “You are the first [people] that I share this news with.”

“And I share this with you because I can relate to you. And for a while I walked around, figuring out what will they say and what will they think about me. But now, I tell you, I don’t live my life for folk,” she added.

“So this child that I carry,” she went on, pausing to nod along with the cheers of the crowd, “God has given me this child and I don’t have to hide it from none of y’all.”

The 27-year-old songtress made no mention of the impending baby’s father, although she has most recently been romantically linked to Antwaun Cook.

Barrino’s relationship with Cook made headlines last summer after his divorce from Paula Cook, and was claimed as one of the reasons she was driven to attempt suicide in August 2010.

There’s no official word yet from her rep on the pregnancy, including details about when she’s due, or the sex of the child. Barrino is already mother to a 9-year-old daughter named Zion.
