Looks like Ryan Phillippe is expanding his family!

The actor was at his ex-girlfriend, Alexis Knapp’s side, when she gave birth to a baby girl on Friday.

About Phillippe’s presence during the birth, a source reported: “He is a good father, and whether this is his baby or not, he wants to do the right thing and be supportive.”

Back in March, media outlets reported that 21-year-old Knapp was expecting. Rumor has it, the mom-to-be had announced to her friends that actor Phillippe was the father.

The duo dated last year before parting ways in September 2010. But although they’re no longer together, another source added that the “Lincoln Lawyer” actor “has known since the beginning that he’s the dad. He is not taking a paternity test.”

He was photographed for the first time with Knapp in late June, escorting the “So Undercover” actress to a doctor’s appointment.

36-year-old Phillippe is already a father to 7-year-old Deacon and 11-year-old Ava, from his marriage to ex-wife Reese Witherspoon.
