Wedding bells will soon be heard for the lady from Lady Antebellum, Hillary Scott.

Her boyfriend, Chris Tyrell, proposed to the singer as the sun was setting over a lake in East Tennessee on the Fourth of July. Romantic, yet also patriotic!

As shared by the happy bride-to-be, “Chris proposed exactly the way I’ve always dreamed. Our families were close by, but it was just us out on a beautiful deck overlooking a lake in East Tennessee.”

She continued, “We had just been on a hike and – in our workout clothes – he hit the knee! We feel so blessed by God that He sent us each other, and we are looking so forward to forever together!”

24-year-old Tyrell, the lead drummer of country music trio Love and Theft, first met the “Run to You” singer when they each served as opening acts on Tim McGraw’s Southern Voice Tour in 2010.

The couple’s love-burning flame was also the muse for Lady Antabellum’s latest song, “Just a Kiss.”

The band is currently headlining their own summer tour. They will release a new album, “Own the Night” on September 13, while Tyrell is keeping the beat for Eden’s Edge on Brad Paisley’s H20 II tour.
