The Voice

After 10 weeks of competition, “The Voice” finally crowned its first winner.

And the crown went to Adam Levine’s protégé, Javier Colon!

“Wow. Thank you. I don’t even know where to begin other than to say that the three women behind here are absolutely awesome,” an emotional Colon said, as he showered with confetti.

He then continued, “I want to thank everybody at home who believed in me and voted for me and [I want to thank] my family.”

The father of two is taking home a recording contract and $100,000 prize, after beating out second-place finisher Dia Frampton by a mere two percent of the vote.

Earlier in the evening, Colon proved that contract will be put to good use, offering up a cover of “Landslide” with Stevie Nicks.

“I’m pretty speechless … that was one of the most beautiful duets I’ve ever heard in my life,” Levine said of the performance. “You’re one of my heroes. Good luck … you deserve to win this competition.”

Dia Frampton and third- and fourth-place finishers Beverly McClellan and Vicci Martinez will join Colon and the show’s four other finalists on The Voice’s six-city concert tour this summer.

Congrats, Javier!
