The “Ocean’s Eleven” actor and his girlfriend of two years, Elisabetta Canalis have ended their relationship.
In a joint statement released Wednesday, the couple said, “We are not together anymore. It’s very difficult and very personal, and we hope everyone can respect our privacy.”
Canalis’s publicist also added, “It is a very personal and sad matter, and Elisabetta wants it to remain that way. She will be taking some time … and then will face the press. She has not authorized me to say when the split happened.”
The beautiful couple started to go public together in September 2009 at the Venice Film Festival. Months later, the Italian actress commented that she was enjoying life in the limelight with Clooney.
The reason of the split is still wrapped up, and apparently, it is something that was just happened. Because in May, they celebrated the actor’s 50th birthday together in Los Angeles. And just last week, they were spotted enjoying a meal in Italy.
