Anna Kournikova Will Replace Jillian Michaels on “The Biggest Loser”

A fresh face is coming to NBC’s “The Biggest Loser.”
Russian tennis pro, Anna Kournikova will take a swing at getting contestants into shape on the hit weight loss show next season. She will be the new trainer, replacing Jillian Michaels.
The show’s executive producer, Todd Lubin said that the decision to hire a new trainer is part of an overall reboot. “We intentionally tried to not replace Jillian,” he explained.
Lubin also added that on the next season, which is season 12, the show will be “getting slightly away from just the tape measure, and getting into overall well being and health. That’s where Loser needs to go.”
29-year-old Kournikova had previously appeared on the series in Season 10, when she set up a tennis-themed workout for the contestants.
