New Year means new rehab sessions for David Arquette.

According to news reports on Sunday, the 39-year-old actor has checked into rehab to deal with alcohol and depression issues. Although Arquette and wife Courteney Cox were undergoing a trial separation after 11 years together, as they announced last October, but the former “Friends” actress was supportive of her husband’s decision to get help. 46-year-old Cox was reportedly said, “I really admire David and his choice to take charge and better his life. I love and support him.”

A source shared that Arquette’s depression issues came because “He’s trying to win Courteney [Cox] back, and he turned back to drinking again out of frustration.” The source also continued, “He is doing this to show her he means it and will do anything for her and Coco. He wants his family life back. It’s been so hard on him.” It is true that while appearing on “The Howard Stern Show” in December, Arquette admitted to drinking heavily after his split from Cox. As he said at the time, “I’ve been drinking a lot because I’m heartbroken. It’s really a personal, traumatic thing.”

The couple met on the set of the 1996 horror film “Scream,” and married three years later. They have one daugther together, and will reunite on screen in April when “Scream 4″ is due to hit theaters.

Get well soon, David!
