Castle and Beckett, get ready for a certain sneaky doctor coming your way!

Former “Melrose Place” star, Thomas Calabro is going to be a guest star on an upcoming episode of “Castle.” The 51-year-old actor will have the role of Scott Donner, a client of a Millionaire Matchmaker type who sets up wealthy men with beautiful women. Donner becomes a murder suspect when the matchmaker turns up dead.

In the same episode, Laura Prepon will accompanied Calabro as a guest star, playing the role of an actress that will be portraying Nikki Heat. Nikki Heat is a female character that Castle (Nathan Fillion) wrote on his “Heat Wave” novels, based on Beckett (Stana Katic). Along the way, Castle’s novel is being turned into a movie. So, in order to research her character and master Beckett’s mannerisms, Prepon will be shadowing Beckett.

Calabro is best known for his role as Dr. Michael Mancini on both the original “Melrose Place” on Fox and the CW’s short-lived reboot of the series last year. He has also recurred on “Without a Trace,” “Nip/Tuck” and “Greek.” He had also guest-starred on “CSI: NY” earlier this season.

The episode with Calabro in it (and suitably titled “Nikki Heat”), is scheduled to air Jan. 3 at 10/9c on ABC. Don’t forget to mark your calendar, Castle’s fans!
