Harry Shum Jr. Has Been Promoted as a Regular on “Glee”
“Glee” is getting more and merrier!
Here’s a good news for fans of Harry Shum Jr., a.k.a ‘Other Asian.’ The actor who plays Mike Chang in the series will become a series regular next season. Hooray!
Apparently, his “Make ‘Em Laugh” dance number alongside Matthew Morrison on the show’s last night episode gave him the promotion he deserved. With this promotion, Shum is following Heather Morris and Naya Rivera’s footsteps, who had been upped as regular at the beginning of this season.
28-year-old Shum is a dancer and choreographer for the Legion of Extraordinary Dancers, a web series about dueling dance groups. This past year, the Legion of Extraordinary Dancers performed at the Academy Awards and opened for the Glee tour. He has also appeared on “Greek” and “Step Up 3D.”
Congrats, Harry! Keep those mad dancing skills rolling!
