Selena Gomez Gave a Private Concert for UNICEF Benefit
She is not an ordinary 18-year-old girl.
Selena Gomez is not hesitate to participate in doing some good for the world. And as a UNICEF ambassador, the singer’s way to celebrate the 60th birthday of “Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF,” one of the programs held by the humanitarian organization, was by delivering a benefit concert.
The Disney star performed a private acoustic concert Tuesday in West Hollywood to benefit the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF program. The concert featured Gomez and her band, The Scene, performing acoustic interpretations of songs from their two albums.
Dozens of young fans in homemade T-shirts waited for hours for a chance to meet the actress and singer before the show at the Roxy Theatre, on the famed Sunset Strip. Gomez is urging her fans to carry UNICEF’s little orange collection box while they trick-or-treat this Halloween. She wants them to collect funds to help provide health care, clean water, food and education for children around the world.
Now that’s what we call a great example for all the teens and tweens out there. Way to go, Selena!
