Florence Henderson was Eliminated from “Dancing with the Stars”

Florence Henderson, or popularly known as Mrs. Brady, sadly had to leave the stage of “Dancing with the Stars” Tuesday night. She was the latest contestant who got eliminated, as well as her professional partner, Corky Ballas.
“I have been in TV for over 50 years, and I have to say in all honesty that this is one of the best-produced shows I’ve ever been on,” 76-year-old Henderson said after learning her fate. “I’ve loved this show since it began. I think it’s just a tremendous show. I hope I’ve inspired people to get up off their behind and move and dance and live and enjoy life.”
The TV icon also added, “It was a wonderful experience. I’ve always admired dancers more than any other group in our business. And I’ve always wanted to be a real dancer and Corky [Ballas] brought that out in me.”
“I’m going to miss everything about Florence,” a tearful Brandy tells us. “She is a brilliant woman. I’m so proud to know her now, and I’m very hurt by her leaving tonight.” And Brandy’s sentiments seem to be a recurring theme among the dancers.
Says Bristol Palin, “Florence was the one that I bonded with the most. She’s such a good person and so good to be around.”
“I’m going to miss her,” echoes Disney stud Kyle Massey. “She’s so sweet and to easy to get along with. You always want to run and squeeze her.”
The elimination was disappointing news for Henderson and Ballas, as the two earned their highest score of the season on Monday’s episode, when they performed a tango to “The Brady Bunch” theme. Viewer votes are combined with judges’ scores to determine which celebrity is ousted each week, and unfortunately, viewers failed to keep them stayed in the competition.
Tuesday’s show also featured musical performances by Shakira, who sang her new song “Loca,” and Jason Derulo, who performed his single, “In My Head,” and “Georgia On My Mind.” Returning to dance Monday are actors Kyle Massey and Jennifer Grey, singer-actress Brandy, athletes Rick Fox and Kurt Warner, reality star Audrina Patridge, and Bristol Palin.

Florence had an amazing run on the show. It was cool that she also had her own “Team Florky” line of hoodiebuddie hoodies made for her because of the show. It would have been really cool to see Florence win this season.
