The Jonas Brothers Canceled a Concert Due to Security Concerns
So sorry Monterrey, it’s not your luck.
Although they want to visit their fans in Monterrey, unfortunately the Jonas Brothers had to canceled a concert that was scheduled there next week because of security concerns.
Concert promoter Live Nation has canceled the Oct. 21 concert due to “a series of unfortunate events” in Monterrey, that have the promoter concerned for the band’s safety, and also out of concern for fans.
Monterrey is Mexico’s richest city and long one of its safest, but a wave of drug violence has shocked residents. More than 400 people have been killed this year in the state of Nuevo Leon, where Monterrey is located.
The show was announced five months ago, but sadly, Joe, Nick and Kevin are going to drive right past Monterrey. They are still on the road to San Juan, Santo Domingo and San José, though. The trio are still scheduled to perform in Guadalajara and Mexico City on Oct. 23 and 24.
Be patient, Monterrey :)
