Neil Patrick Harris Adds Director in His Resume
He’s known as an actor since his youth, but Neil Patrick Harris is taking another step ahead, that is directing.
The “How I Met Your Mother” star and Emmy Awards host is planning to make his feature film directing debut with an indie romantic comedy called “Aaron and Sarah.”
The story follows a geeky guy and a popular girl who become friends as freshmen in high school and see their relationship deepen through four years, four proms and one funeral before graduation. Emma Roberts and “The Kids Are All Right” star Josh Hutcherson are currently attached to play the couple in question.
Not only continuing being awesome as Barney Stinson in “How I Met Your Mother,” 33-year-old Harris recently helmed a production of “Rent” at the Hollywood Bowl and guest-starring on “Glee.”
He will next star in the film “Beastly” due out in March and in the big screen adaptation of the cartoon series “The Smurfs” in August. The expectant father will also appear once again as a skewed version of himself in the third installment of the popular “Harold & Kumar” movies.
Good luck for everything you’ll done, NPH!
