A new collaboration of comedians are heading to Broadway. Ben Stiller and Edie Falco are teaming up for a revival of “The House of Blue Leaves” on Broadway this spring.
The news was announced by the play’s producers, who said that Stiller and Falco will appear as a married couple in John Guare’s black comedy at the Walter Kerr Theatre. No other details were provided.
Although known for his roles on the big screen, this is not Stiller’s first experience in theater. He actually made his Broadway debut in a 1986 Broadway revival of the same play, playing the son of a zookeeper who longs to be a songwriter. This time, the “Zoolander” star will play the zookeeper.
Meanwhile, Falco has also several Broadway credits, including “Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune” and “‘night, Mother.” The former “Sopranos” star currently can be seen in “Nurse Jackie,” a medical dramedy series which made her an Emmy winner this year for Outstanding Leading Actress in a Comedy Series.
