Hey Katie Holmes fans! Here’s a great news for you!

The actress (and mother to a very famous toddler, Suri) is set to star in a comedy opposite Adam Sandler. The news had been confirmed today by Columbia Pictures, the studio in which the movie will be produced.

The romantic comedy tells a story about a family man, Jack, who is forced to deal with his twin sister, Jill, when she visits for Thanksgiving – and won’t leave. In the movie simply titled “Jack and Jill,” Sandler will play both main roles, and Holmes is set to play his on-screen wife. The film’s production is slated to begin in September, and is set for release in November 2011.

Al Pacino will also star in the film, as himself. Meanwhile Dennis Dugan, will act as director. Dugan has worked with Sandler on several movies, such as; “Grown Ups,” “You Don’t Mess With the Zohan,” “I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry,” “Big Daddy” and “Happy Gilmore.”
