Do you miss Jessica Alba? Well, this might be a good news for you!

Since embracing the life of motherhood, Alba’s appearances in movies are pretty rare. But the actress is slowly back on screen, and currently is in negotiations to star in Robert Rodriguez’s “Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World.”

The latest installment of the series will take a different approach, because of the original child stars; Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara, are now in their 20s. Vega is nearly 23, and recently engaged.

Rodriguez, who wrote and directed each installment, wanted to continue the series. So in the upcoming fourth movie, 29-year-old Alba will have the role of a retired spy who has been reactivated. Not only as a spy, her role will also be the mother of a baby and two preteen stepchildren. The actors cast in the preteen roles will be the new Spy Kids.

The Dimension film, which also has been known as “Spy Kids 4: Armageddon,” will once again shot in 3-D, just like the previous installment. Although both Vega and Sabara won’t reprising their roles as Spy Kids anymore, but they are expected to appear in supporting roles, along with original “Spy Kids” parents; Antonio Banderas and Carla Gugino.

Like most of Rodriguez’s movies, “Spy Kids 4″ will shoot in his hometown of Austin, Texas. Its budget is less than $30 million, and the filming is planned to start next month. The movie marks the third time Alba has teamed up with Rodriguez, after working together on “Sin City” and the upcoming “Machete,” which hits theaters on September 3.

Besides “Machete,” Alba will next be seen on the big screen in the comedy “Little Fockers,” starring Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson and Robert De Niro. The “Meet The Parents” franchise follow-up is set for a December 2010 release.

Can’t wait for your upcoming movies, Jess!
