It was a bad weekend for Faith Evans.

The Grammy-winner singer was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving on Saturday after being stopped at a police checkpoint in a Los Angeles beach community, as said by the Los Angeles Police Department.

According to LAPD’s spokesman, Officer Cleon Joseph, 37-year-old Evans showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol when she was pulled over at a checkpoint near Marina del Rey. Joseph then added that the R&B singer was held for four hours and released on bail Sunday morning, pending formal charges.

Evans, who’s the widow of murdered rapper Christopher “The Notorious BIG” Wallace, won a Grammy in 1998 for her Wallace tribute “I’ll Be Missing You.” This is not her first time on being arrested. She once spent 13 weeks in a drug rehab program after being arrested in Atlanta in 2004 and charged with cocaine and marijuana possession.

It has been a long five-year hiatus, but Evans is set to release her new album called “Something About Faith” in October. She was also reportedly working on a reality series titled “It’s All About Faith,” which will chronicle her return to music and her home life with her husband and manager, Todd Russaw, and their four children.

Hopefully this is your last time being arrested, Faith. Be good, and even better in the future!
