The third time is not a charm for Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood.

Dark clouds were upon them, as the couple have broken up once again. Their last engagement lasted for only seven months, since Manson proposed to Wood this past January in Paris.

Neither the actress’ or the rocker’s rep has commented on the reported split, but sources had confirmed the news on Tuesday. “They fought a lot,” a source said. “It was always on and off. He’s a creative mind so not the easiest person to be in a relationship with.”

41-year-old Manson was spotted chowing down Saturday night in West Hollywood with several friends and an unidentified brunette who the rocker referred to as his new girlfriend. “They just broke off their engagement, and he needed a night out with friends,” another source told the mag.

The couple started dating in 2006, shortly after she starred in his “Heart-Shaped Glasses” video and Manson’s short-lived marriage to Dita von Teese went south. They split two years later, and 22-year-old Wood released a statement at the time, saying, “Manson and I both decided to take some time apart so we could concentrate on work.” Not long after that, they reconcile and then getting engaged this past January.

Reported rumors of a possible romance for Wood soon swirled, linking her with ‘True Blood” co-star Alexander Skarsgard, as well as former “Once and Again” co-star Shane West. Wood will next be seen on the small screen playing the daughter of Kate Winslet’s character in HBO’s “Mildred Pierce.”
