It’s really over for Sean Penn and Robin Wright.
As shown in court records, the couple’s 14-year marriage has officially come to an end on July 22, after a Marin County judge signed off on their divorce.
The couple’s marriage has been an on-again, off-again affair. Wright first filed for divorce in December 2007, but the State of Grace costars withdrew the paperwork in April 2008. Penn was back in court asking for a legal separation in April 2009, but their breakup plans were again foiled by an apparent reconciliation the following month.
Then, Wright filed for divorce a second time last August, citing irreconcilable differences (a tendency toward indecision doesn’t appear to be one of them) as the cause. This was the second marriage for both Penn and Wright. They have a 19-year-old daughter and a 16-year-old son together and will share custody of the boy.
