With Glee’s second season getting nearer, lots of new things are being prepared to make us, the fans, happy.

Some of those things are several new characters. And just yesterday, we got info about who’s the latest star that will be joining Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch, and others for the next season.

The show’s newest addition is Cheyenne Jackson, an actor who already known for his role as Danny Baker in “30 Rock.” Jackson will have the role as coach rival glee club Vocal Adrenaline, succeeding Shelby Corcoran (Idina Menzel).

As shown in the season finale, Corcoran was adopting Quinn and Puck’s baby. So on the next season, Corcoran will be said leaving her career and devoted her time to build a family.

With this new role, the 35-year-old star will join the show’s previous additions, including John Stamos, Charice and Chord Overstreet. He’ll be coming on the show in a recurring, not regular role, and his number of episodes are yet to be determined. He’s also set to appear in a large recurring role on “Curb Your Enthusiasm” next season.

Glee returns Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 8/7c. Oh, we can’t wait ’til the day comes!
