Daniel Craig Has Signed to Star in Other Movie Beside Bond

Daniel Craig took a slight detour from being a Bond.
The actor is reportedly heading to another film’s production, as the development and production on the next James Bond film recently halted in the midst of MGM’s endless financial restructuring.
42-year-old Craig will star in the English-language remake of “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,” plus the two potential follow-ups based on author Stieg Larsson’s best-selling trilogy.
“Tattoo” has grossed $9.6 million in the U.S. and $92 million internationally. Referring to that success, Music Box Films is in the process of releasing the original Swedish-language film adaptations in the United States. David Fincher is signed to direct the adaptation, with script written by Steve Zaillian, and Scott Rudin is producing for film studio Sony Pictures.
The second film, “The Girl Who Played With Fire,” has grossed $2.9 million in the U.S. since its release earlier this month. It grossed $51 million internationally. A third movie, “The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest,” is scheduled to be released later this year.
Although not in another Bond movie, but we’re excited to see you soon, Daniel!
