Be prepared, a Terminator is heading to “Chuck.”

Yes, it’s true. Former “Terminator” star Linda Hamilton is joining “Chuck,” in a recurring guest role as the title character’s long-missing mother. Thankfully, Chuck will still be Chuck, he won’t be changing into John Connor.

When appeared at Comic-Con in San Diego, executive producer Josh Schwartz shared that the casting was inspired by fan suggestions online. “She’s been such an icon as an action-female badass mom,” Schwartz said. “The fans put it out there, and she heard about it, and was like, ‘I heard I’m Chuck’s mom.’”

Schwartz also added that Hamilton’s role would be “a huge part of the season.” She will be briefly introduced in the Season 4 opener. Beside 53-year-old Hamilton, Olivia Munn will also guest star on the show.
