Jennifer Aniston smells good.

Oh, you need proof? The actress will give it to you in the form of an elegant perfume bottle, that she had just launched on Wednesday. The perfume’s name is easy to remember, as it has been named from its own creator, a.k.a a self-titled perfume.

Yes, that’s true. Jennifer Aniston launched her first fragrance with a last-minute switch to her own name. Originally titled “Lolavie,” which meant “laughing at life,” the name of the perfume was abruptly changed to simply “Jennifer Aniston”.

No exact reason was given for the last-minute name change, but when appeared at Harrod’s department store for the launching, Aniston explained, “It turned out as we were getting close to the launch, there was something out there that was very similar and it was just going to get very confusing in the marketplace. And at such a late hour, I didn’t want to postpone the launch so the only thing we could really clear (in terms of rights to perfume titles) was my name.”

The self-titled perfume marks Aniston’s first venture into beauty products, following the footsteps of other stars who already set their foot in the perfume world. Among the most popular celebrity perfumes are coming from Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and Mariah Carey.

The 41-year-old actress said it took her two years to come up with the right mixture of scents and smells. She described the fragrance as “a sexy clean smell that reminds me of the ocean.” The new perfume is a mixture of citrus, rose water, wild violets, amber and jasmine. Aniston wanted the perfume to evoke a natural scent from her love of warm temperatures growing up in California and family trips to Greece.

Sounds lovely. Good luck with your perfume, Jen!
