The-Dream and Christina Milian’s marriage could hit the end of the road.

Only less than a year of marriage, the couple decided to go parted ways. The sad news was confirmed by the producer’s rep, saying that The-Dream is saddened to announce that his marriage to Christina Milian was unsuccessful.

It was said that The-Dream, whose real name Terius Nash, and 28-year-old Milian had reached the decision in late 2009, but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter Violet. Furthermore, the rep said, “They ask for consideration and respect for their family moving forward.”

The split news comes forward after several racy beach photos surfaced of The-Dream and his assistant of about a year, Melissa Santiago. The two were seen kissing and frolicking on a beach in the Caribbean. It was not such a surprise for some, since rumors of the duo’s rocky romance (and The-Dream’s infidelity) began surfacing earlier this year after only a few months of matrimony.

32-year-old Nash and Milian eloped in Las Vegas in September 4, 2009 after announcing their engagement in July of that year. One month after that, they confirmed they were expecting their first child. Daughter Violet was born on Feb. 26 of this year.
