Although Cristiano Ronaldo is no longer competing in the World Cup 2010 after Portugal lose against Spain, his sadness didn’t take long. Last weekend, he announced the happy news on his official Facebook page and Twitter account.
As reported by several medias, and even captured in print screens that had been swirling on the Internet, the Portuguese soccer star wrote a status on his Facebook page, saying, “It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become father to a baby boy.”
Immediately, the status prompting more than 40,000 of his 6.5 million Facebook fans to hit the “Like” button on his announcement about his new born son.
With so little information that can be obtained, a newspaper in the 25-year-old soccer star’s native country hinted that the baby’s mother is from North America and she had her child in early June. Cristiano Ronaldo is the world’s most expensive player last year, when he moved from Manchester United to Real. Not only popular because of his soccer achievements, he’s also known for his several love strings with female stars, including Paris Hilton.
