Jake Pavelka was signed to reprise his role as “The Bachelor” once again.
The reality star will play the part once again on “Drop Dead Diva,” a drama comedy series on Lifetime.
The Dancing with the Stars alum will have the role of a suitor named Toby Davlin on the series’ faux dating show, “Finding the One.”
The character’s storyline will center around the producer of the faux show, who is being sued for “intentionally inflicting emotional harm” after Jake’s character breaks the heart of a bachelorette.
According to the show’s executive producer Josh Berman, Pavelka was a natural fit for the role. “When Jake came into the office to audition for the role, the whole production came to a stop. Everyone wanted to talk with him. He was so gracious and charming. He was spot-on and won the role in the room.”
Actually, this is not the first experience Pavelka had in acting. Back in 1999, Pavelka played a young version of Chuck Norris’ Cordell Walker on Walker, Texas Ranger under the stage name Jake Landrum.
When asked about his future acting project, the 32-year-old pilot said in a statement, “I am honored to be a part of ‘Drop Dead’ Diva this season. [I] cannot wait to meet the cast and crew.” He will reportedly start shooting his scenes on June 18 and his episode, “Good Grief,” will air on August 22.
We’re excited to see you again, Jake!
