It’s a tragedy after another.

Just five months after the tragic death of actress Brittany Murphy, her British husband, Simon Monjack has been found dead Sunday evening from a suspected heart attack.

His death is being investigated by the Los Angeles police department. LA Police Sergeant Louie Lozano said, police responded to a 911 call from the Hollywood Hills home about 9.30pm Sunday (Los Angeles time) for an “unspecified medical aid request.”

LA fire department spokesman Brian Humphrey added that the department sent staff to the scene to provide attempts to resuscitate Monjack, but he was pronounced dead. It was said that the screenwriter was found unconscious in the master bedroom by his mother-in-law (Murphy’s mother), Sharon.

On December, 32-year-old Murphy died of cardiac arrest at the house after collapsing in the shower. The Clueless star’s death was ruled by the LA county coroner in February to have died of pneumonia, complicated by an iron deficiency, anemia and “multiple drug intoxication”. The death was ruled an accident.

After Murphy’s death, 39-year-old Monjack told reporters the couple had been planning for the future. ‘We were going to have children and move to new York next year,’ he said. ‘The night before she died we were deciding baby names and said if it was a boy it was going to be Oliver and if it was a girl, Sophie.’

He had previously told of his heart problems, claiming in an interview after his wife’s death: ‘I suffer from seizures. I had a heart attack coming back from Puerto Rico last year.’

Murphy was shot to fame in the 1995 blockbuster Clueless, starring alongside Alicia Silverstone. She was also cast in Eminem’s 8 Mile in 2002 before landing a role in Just Married the following year, alongside Ashton Kutcher. The couple met through a mutual friend, soon started dating and married in a private Jewish ceremony in LA in May 2007.

They say true love never dies. Rest in Peace, Simon.
