Transformers fans, this news could be a buzzkill for you.

Beside all the cool alien robots and the ‘everyday hero’ soul of Sam Witwicky, Transformers and its sequel Transformers 2 were considered favorites by many people because of the sexy girl role that was played by Megan Fox.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to see Fox’s gorgeous face and hot bod on the next Transformers 3 movie, as Paramount Pictures announced Wednesday that Fox’s option was not picked up for part three in the blockbuster series.

The studio declined to give further details, therefore rumors spread that Fox has been dropped from the third movie, as a result of her public feud with director Michael Bay late last summer. They also didn’t say who would replace her.

Although previously didn’t provided any comments, later on, Fox’s rep said that the actress herself claims it was her idea not to return for the third installment. “It was her decision not to return. She wishes the franchise the best.”

24-year-old Fox gained her fame from the first two “Transformers” movies, in which she play Mikaela Banes, Sam Witwicky’s love interest. In several interviews, she thanked Bay for giving her the breakout role.

“Transformers” from 2007 and the 2009 sequel “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” have made more than $1.5 billion worldwide. Production is scheduled to begin this month on the third installment, with a release date set for July 1, 2011.

Reports said that Bay and team are working on a script and “giving Shia a new love interest [that] makes more sense for the story.” Actress Gemma Arterton was rumored as the one who will replace Fox’s position.

Other than the Transformers films, Fox has headlined teen horror movie, Jennifer’s Body. Written by Oscar-winning “Juno” writer Diablo Cody, the movie made a disappointing $16.2 million domestically. Next, Fox will star opposite Josh Brolin and John Malkovich in the supernatural Western “Jonah Hex,” scheduled for release June 18.
