Ethan Zohn truly deserved the title Sole Survivor. Not only he outwitted the game, Zohn is now outlasted his cancer.
As reported by media outlets, the “Survivor: Africa” winner’s cancer is now in remission. The 36-year-old has proven that he’s also a winner of the battle against a rare form of Hodgkin’s Disease, since it was first diagnosed about a year ago.
Zohn’s girlfriend, and a fellow Survivor Winner, Jenna Morasca gladly shared the great news: “A few weeks ago, we got his first clean CT scan. Now we can officially call him ‘in remission.’ We were so nervous for this test because good news on this test meant we could start our lives again.”
Now bald-headed Zohn was first diagnosed with the disease in April of 2009. After three months of chemotherapy treatment, Zohn believed his cancer had gone into remission. But unfortunately, his illness resurfaced in September.
Along with this great news, Zohn has many plans ahead. According to Morasca, the couple plan to travel to South Africa in June to work with the charity Grassroot Soccer, which Zohn co-founded after winning third season of Survivor. They also plan to watch the World Cup games, and further more, Zohn is also filming a new TV series called Outside Today for the new network Outside Television.
As 29-year-old Morasca said, “Ethan says he is just excited to start living again and enjoying every precious moment. We wanted to come out of this stronger people with more appreciation for each other and the world — and that’s exactly what happened.”
We’re happy for you Ethan (and Jenna), keep up the healthy condition!
