It’s a great year to be Miranda Lambert.

Great news are coming from the country songstress, flowing like water. As she was announced as one of the many nominees for 2010 CMT Music Awards, Lambert was also reportedly just got engaged.

Yesterday, Lambert’s publicist, Kathy Best confirmed that Lambert was proposed by Blake Shelton on Sunday. The “White Liar” singer was surprised by 33-year-old Shelton, who popped the question to her in the woods near her Oklahoma home with a diamond and platinum engagement ring.

She answered yes to the “Hillbilly Bone” singer, and with that, two of country music’s hottest singles are off the market. We’re guessing there are quite some lovely ladies or handsome gentlemen out there who got their heart torn in pieces right now. But we also believe that there are more who are happy for the couple!

For his proposal, Shelton went old-fashioned, by calling Lambert’s father, Rick, to ask permission. Commented on Shelton’s act, 26-year-old Lambert said, “That was so Southern and old-school and perfect.” She also added more praises for her hubby-to-be, saying, “I was so proud of him.”

The couple began dating in 2006, shortly after Shelton divorced his first wife, Kaynette Williams. In 2008, the duo worked together on the No. 1 hit “Home.”

There’s no word on when the wedding will be, but the “White Liar” singer couldn’t be more excited. As she said, “Weddings are great and engagements are great and diamonds are especially great. But I’m just excited to be married because I want to tell Blake I really can love him the rest of my life and be happy and make him happy.”
