Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood are in the battle again. But don’t worry, there won’t be bloodshed. They will be battling at the CMT Music Awards this year.

Both singers each received a leading three nominations for country’s only fan-voted awards show this year. The same amount of nominations also received by Lady Antebellum and Jason Aldean.

27-year-old Underwood and 20-year-old Swift will face-to-face in two nominations; Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year. Swift is nominated with her “You Belong with Me” video, while Underwood with ” Cowboy Casanova” video. Meanwhile for her third nomination, Swift shares it with Kellie Pickler for collaborative video of the year for “Best Days of Your Life.” Underwood is nominated for CMT performance of the year for “Temporary Home” on the TV show Invitation Only.

Lady Antebellum’s first two nominations are for category Group Video of the Year (both for “Need You Now”) and CMT Performance of the Year for last year’s ceremony. For their third nomination, the group will join the battle between Swift and Underwood for category Video of the Year. There are also seven other ‘warriors’ who will be fighting in the same battle. They are: Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Zac Brown Band, Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley and Miranda Lambert.

Following behind with two nominations each, are regulars: Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Sugarland, Keith Urban and Zac Brown Band.

The 2010 CMT Music Awards will air Wednesday, June 9 at 8/7c on CMT. Honorary Nashville resident Kid Rock will host this year’s gala, with performances from nominees Lady Antebellum, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Toby Keith and Keith Urban. Per usual, fans will determine the winners in each of the categories, and can vote online at vote.CMT.com all the way through the night of the awards, on June 8.
