Justin Bieber fans, let’s do the happy dance!
The pop star sensation has returned to the No. 1 spot on the U.S. pop album chart Wednesday, taking down last week’s winner (and his own mentor), Usher.
According to Nielsen SoundScan, Bieber’s latest album, My World 2.0, sold 102,000 copies during the week ended April 11. It has sold 676,000 copies after three weeks. While Usher’s Raymond v. Raymond, slipped to No. 2 with 92,000 copies, taking its two-week tally to 422,000.
This week, rock guitarist Slash scored the highest debut after his self-titled solo album came in at No. 3, with 60,000. It’s the former Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver member’s first solo effort, which has a lot of help from some very famous friends on the set. Each of its tracks sports guest vocals from a familiar artist, such as Fergie, M Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold, Kid Rock, Ozzy Osbourne, Kid Rock, Dave Grohl and Adam Levine.
Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now” climbed another spot to No. 4 with 57,000, meanwhile the “Now 33″ compilation fell two to No. 5 with 53,000. Their respective totals rose to 1.7 million and 311,000.
Following behind, there are; Monica’s “Still Standing” that stood still at No. 6 with 38,000 copies, Lady Gaga’s “The Fame” jumped two to No. 7 (32,000), Bieber’s first “My World” album held at No. 8, and Erykah Badu’s “New Amerykah, Part Two” dropped five to No. 9. The latter two sold just under 30,000 copies each, separated by 30 units.
Way to go, Justin! Congrats!
