Kate Walsh finally got her freedom! It’s not a cheap one, though.

The Private Practice star had finalized her divorce from studio executive Alex Young on Monday, although reps for Walsh did not immediately respond for comment regarding the divorce.

38-year-old Young filed for divorce from Walsh in December 2008, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple, who were married only 15 months, tied the knot after dating for three months.

A few months later, he accused the accounting firm that represented both of them of being purposely slow on the uptake when his camp requested documentation about Walsh’s various financial holdings.

But then earlier this year, 42-year-old Walsh had agreed to hand over half of the money she made during her marriage to the co-president of production at 20th Century Fox, plus $627,000 from community property. When once asked about her divorce, the actress said, “Alex and I still care for each other.”

Walsh is keeping herself busy with a new man now, Neil Andrea. She is also planning her off-Broadway debut this summer. She’ll star in Dusk Rings a Bell, a two-character play by Stephen Belber, from May 19 through June 20, opposite Paul Sparks.
