Aside from the happy news of Glee coming back to television schedule tomorrow, another happy news is coming from Jane Lynch a.k.a. Sue Sylvester.

The actress who plays the mean-spirited cheerleading coach on the series has confirmed that she is engaged to longtime partner, psychologist Lara Embry.

Back in January when the news first rumored by the New York Times’ Carpetbagger blog, Lynch’s rep shot down the reported engagement, saying that “Jane is currently in a relationship and there is no related news to that relationship.”

But at a Glee event Saturday at the Grove in Los Angeles, 49-year-old Lynch happily confirming that the engagement is true. She said, “Yes, yes, it’s true!” In which she also added, “We don’t have any plans at all yet. But I have a ring and everything. We’re very happy and very excited!”

We’re excited too, Ms. Lynch, and glee-ing about it. Congrats!
