Whitney Houston Canceled Her Paris Concert Due to Illness
A sad news coming today for Whitney Houston’s fans, especially those in Paris.
Reported by the concert’s organizers, the pop diva has canceled her Paris concert she was due to give Tuesday because of illness. In a statement released Monday by Houston’s representative, an upper respiratory infection is forcing the I Will Always Love You singer to bow out of that show on doctors’ orders.
The statement continued, saying that Houston “deeply regrets having been forced to postpone the show.” This illness has led to a brief postponement of her European tour, but it will back on track on Thursday (April 8) when the tour starts in Manchester, England. A new date for a rescheduled Paris concert would be announced later.
This is the latest problem for 46-year-old Houston on her world tour for her platinum comeback album, I Look to You. Some previous performances have been negatively received by some fans and the media, leading to concerns about her health, although Houston herself had confirmed she’s okay.
Houston’s tour began in South Korea in February with the singer performing in Japan then Australia. She is set to tour Britain, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland by June.
Get well soon, Whitney!
