Alice in Wonderland Holds No. 1 Spot Again!

It is still a wonderland for Alice!
The Tim Burton and Johnny Depp’s movie is secured at the top spot for another week, as it pulled in $62 million over the weekend, bringing its overall totals to $208.6 million domestically and $430 million worldwide.
This achievement is making Alice in Wonderland the first $200 million hit released this year, and also marks the highest gross ever for a Burton-Depp collaboration.
It was followed by Matt Damon’s Iraq War thriller Green Zone, which debuted at No. 2 with $14.5 million. Next is Jay Baruchel’s romantic comedy She’s Out of My League, who sat at No. 3 with $9.6 million. Rounding out the top five were other newcomers; Robert Pattinson’s romantic drama Remember Me at No. 4 with $8.3 million and Leonardo DiCaprio’s Shutter Island with $8.1 million.
