Blair Underwood Got the President Role for Upcoming Drama Series
Blair Underwood (soundoffcolumn.com)
Let’s welcome Blair Underwood as the next president of the United States of America!
But don’t worry though, the Golden Globe-nominated actor won’t be Mr. Barack Obama’s competitor, because it’s just a role that he will be playing on his next project, an NBC’s drama pilot called The Event.
The project is a thriller chronicled from multiple points of view, which centers on a regular man (played by Jason Ritter) untangling a conspiracy to assassinate the president. With this role, Underwood became the second black president on a major U.S. TV series following Dennis Haysbert’s turn on the first season of Fox’s 24.
46-year-old Underwood is best known as attorney Jonathan Rollins in the series L.A. Law. Other than that, he had appeared in several movies and TV series, including Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Family Reunion, and most recently co-starred on ABC’s Dirty Sexy Money.
We’re sure this is a role we can believe in. Good luck being a president, Blair!
