Finally, the Bachelor Jake Pavelka made his final pick.
The 32-year-old pilot proposed to Vienna Girardi in this year’s The Bachelor finale, leaving a heartbroken runner-up, Tenley Molzahn behind.
When Girardi leaned in and kissed him during the final rose ceremony, Pavelka didn’t hold back to show his love. He said, “Vienna, I love you,” then got down on one knee, continued, “Vienna, I love you with everything I am… Vienna, will you marry me?” Pink blush was seen on the 23-year-old marketing rep’s face, as she accepted Pavelka’s proposal.
Sadly for 25-year-old Molzahn, who’s a college admissions administrator, the romance between her and Pavelka didn’t succeed to fly on the wings of love. Pavelka explained to Molzahn at the finale, “I do love you and you’re just perfect. I don’t know what it is, something just doesn’t feel right. I don’t know why.”
Further more, he explained, “Tenley, there’s some part of me that is not coming naturally. I feel like I push a little with you.” To which Molzahn replied, “You shouldn’t have to do that. I don’t wanna be that person who held you back.”
Later on, after the final episode, Jake tried to explain to a still-heartbroken Tenley on Monday’s The Bachelor: After The Final Rose show why he picked Vienna. “It was just that magical spark that I can’t explain. Vienna and I had that spark that you and I didn’t,” Jake said. “I never thought that your heart could be in love with more than one person at a time. And having to close the door on that — my heart still hurts for you.”
“You’re just the most precious thing in the world and I will always love you no matter what… and you absolutely, hands down have a life friend,” he added as Tenley wiped away a tear and hugged Jake. “This is not goodbye.”
Then during The Bachelor: After The Final Rose show, Ali Fedotowsky was confirmed as the new Bachelorette. When asked about her feelings by show host, Chris Harrison, the happy Fedotowsky said, “I’m so excited. I’m so thrilled and honored and grateful. I just can’t believe it.”
She continued, “I’m not gonna let my fear dictate my life anymore. And I just need to go for it and I want to find someone. I want to be in love. I want to get married and have kids and all of that and this is my chance, so I’m not gonna make the same mistake I made last time, I’m going for it.”
Besides humor as the very important factor, Fedotowsky detailed the man that she’s looking for, “I really want funny – I want a funny, smart, kind of quirky guy.”
Congrats to Jake and Vienna, and we’re excited to see Ali on The Bacholerette soon!

I hope I run into Jake & Vienna here in NYC to congratulate them. Vienna has an inner beauty/comforting quality because she looks like the girl next door and/or a former classmate, rather than a model. And she lays all her cards on the table. Its good that she was outspoken. There’s a saying, “Better to be for hated for what you are, than loved for what you are not.” And Jake knew exactly what he was getting into by choosing her, rather than a “yes person” who’s going to change after getting the last rose. Anyway, I am happy for them. JK+VG 4ever!
