Following the footsteps of his wife Brooke Mueller, Charlie Sheen has also checked himself into a rehab.

The actor started his rehab time this week, while wife Mueller has already finished hers after two weeks treatment. Sheen’s publicist Stan Rosenfield explained in a statement, “As a preventative measure, Charlie Sheen has entered a rehabilitation facility. He will take some time off his series Two and a Half Men. He has asked that his privacy be honored.”

Sheen’s decision is supported by others, including CBS network and show producers of his popular sitcom, Two and a Half Men. They also released a statement, saying that they “support Charlie Sheen in his decision today to begin voluntary in-patient care at a treatment center. We wish him nothing but the best as he deals with this personal matter.”

This is not Sheen’s first time at a rehab, but this time the action is done for an undisclosed cause. It’s also unclear where or for how long Sheen will be undergoing treatment.
