Padma Lakshmi adds another job to her curriculum vitae. Not only she’s a TV host, model and actress, she is now a proud mother!
According to her rep, the Top Chef star gave birth to a baby girl named Krishna over the weekend. The rep said the newborn was born late Saturday in New York City.
No further details about the birth process or the baby and mom’s well-being, as mysterious as the baby’s father. During her pregnancy, 39-year-old Lakshmi has not revealed the baby’s father.
Lakshmi’s rep described her pregnancy as a medical miracle, because Lakshmi has struggled with endometriosis, a painful uterine condition that can lead to infertility.
The cookbook author was the fourth wife of British-Indian novelist Salman Rushdie. The two got married in 2004, and divorced three years later.
