Lost Star Daniel Dae Kim will Appear in the New Hawaii Five-O

Daniel Dae Kim was once Lost, but now he’s back in Hawaii!
Yes, it’s true. The 41-year-old Lost star will be back to the small screen with a new lead role on CBS’ Hawaii Five-0 remake. In the new version of the classic cop series, Kim will play Detective Chin Ho Kelly, a sidekick role played in the original series by Kam Fong.
The part of his partner, Detective Steve McGarrett has not yet been cast, though Moonlight star Alex O’Loughlin continues to be in talks for it. The Hawaii Five-O‘s new version was born from the feature writers and Fringe co-creators Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci and CSI: NY executive producer/co-showrunner Peter Lenkov.
With this upcoming role, Kim is the first actor from Lost‘s core cast to book a new series project. He’s known as Jin Kwon on the popular series for its six-season run, which will run its course in the May finale.
