Barney Stinson will soon meet Jennifer Lopez.

The Louboutins singer has landed a guest spot on the hit CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother. She will play Anita Appleby, a no-nonsense author of self-help books that teach women how to mold the perfect man through the power of denial. Appleby would later meet the womanizing Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris), and makes it her mission to “break” him.

About Lopez’s upcoming appearance, the show’s co-creator and executive producer Carter Bays said in a statement, “We couldn’t be more excited about Jennifer Lopez joining us on How I Met Your Mother.” He jokingly added, “We’re looking forward to a week of revealing outfits and sexy dance moves the likes of which this show hasn’t seen since Regis Philbin guest starred.”

Lopez’s episode is scheduled to air in March, although no exact date hasn’t been set yet. The 40-year-old singer is the latest high-profile guest star for the sitcom which was recently renewed for a sixth season. She follows the footsteps of Tim Gunn, Amanda Peet, Stacy Keibler, Rachel Bilson, Kenny Rogers, JoAnna Garcia, Chris Elliott and Carrie Underwood, whose episode will also be broadcast in March.
