Former Destiny’s Child star, Michelle Williams is ready to shine again!

The least-talked about ‘child’ (compared to the other two Destiny’s Child alums) will perform on Broadway, as she has taken the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago. This will be her second time as Roxie, after having played the role last year in London’s West End production.

29-year-old Williams will play the wannabe star-turned-murderess for a limited run in the hit musical from Feb. 8 to March 28. She took over the role from Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, who debuted in the revival early last month.

Williams, who has released three solo albums post Destiny’s Child era, made her Broadway debut in Aida back in 2003, replacing fellow singer Toni Braxton. She also performed in the national tour of The Color Purple.
