It is not because the place is too crowded, but Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Colin Egglesfield are packing their bags and left Melrose Place .

Simpson-Wentz’s character, Violet and Egglesfield’s character Auggie have been part of the murder mystery involving Sydney (Laura Leighton), whose death kicked off the season and who’s been seen in flashbacks. Series creator said their characters were axed to make the story even more interesting later on.

On Thursday, the network said Violet and Auggie are scheduled to make their final appearance on the drama series in January next year. Meanwhile, Heather Locklear, a.k.a the bitchy Amanda Woodward, will be joining the new Melrose gang, starting on the November 17 episode. Amanda Woodward is another original cast, accompanying Michael Mancini, played by Thomas Calabro.

Well then, goodbye Violet and Auggie… welcome back Amanda!
