The case of Eric Dane’s nude threesome tape continues…
The Los Angeles Police Department had confirmed on Thursday that its Detective Support and Vice division are investigating the DVD that mysteriously made its way into their possession this week from an unnamed source who claimed the video “contained images that could link celebrities engaging in illegal activity.”
So, the police actually already have the video first, but somehow, it managed to surface on the Internet before they could determine if a crime was committed, and then the video caused a pretty big buzz about what was seen inside which involved Grey’s Anatomy star, Eric Dane, his wife Rebecca Gayheart and third wheel Kari Ann Peniche.
According to the police, the DVD also “included archived articles and photographs of porn stars and formally convicted madams, which could readily be found over the internet.” No further details were given about what authorities might be looking for, but LAPD spokesman Det. Via Nueva said that they are in the process of examining the “voluminous contents” of the DVD.
About where the origin of the leaked tape, 25-year-old former Miss Teen USA, Kari Ann Peniche has alleged that the tape was stolen from her by troubled country singer Mindy McCready, who was her roommate after the two women filmed episodes of Celebrity Rehab. But a source close to McCready denied the allegations, saying, “Her story will be told in due time. There’s a lot more to it than just the tape. She did not leak the tape.”
